Overview
The illustrated Freesat Satellite Dish Upgrade Option provides an ADDITIONAL single signal feed from an existing Freesat Dish Installation fitted with a Quad LNB.
This option is designed for use with a Freesat Set Top Box (STB) or a Freesat Television (IDTV) (Suitable for Single Tuner receivers).
Summary
Please note that this solution may be used to UPGRADE an existing single feed system to a system which is capable of supporting a PVR/ DTR (Twin tuner type product), alternatively this option may be used to supply a secondary signal feed to another location within the dwelling – Example an additional STB situated in another room.
- The site MUST have an EXISTING Satellite Dish in working order which is suitable for the reception of Freesat services.
- Where required, the provision and installation of TWIN/ QUAD output LNB to facilitate the defined/ agreed number of additional signal outlets (1) for a STB/ IDTV type product in another location or a secondary feed to support a PVR/ DTR type product (Additional signal feed to the same room).
- (To a maximum number of four signal feeds from a single Quad LNB)
- The provision and installation of SINGLE (1) surface mounted downlead cable (Bench marked type) up to 15m in length to a suitable position for connection to the customer’s equipment (Digital STB/ TV Receiver).
- All wall entry holes will be properly sealed against the elements using silicon sealant and appropriate internal/ external weather covers.
- The downlead cable shall be terminated with a durable ‘F’ type cable connector.
- A final assessment of received satellite services (freesat) will be carried out to confirm that the new service (coverage restrictions apply) Approximate call duration on a standard call 30 - 60 mins dependent upon the local situation
